To fulfill OIT’s objective of stabilizing and streamlining core processes, the Quality Continuous Improvement Organization (QCIO) within the Compliance, Risk, and Remediation (CRR) Office has developed and maintains an innovative process website known as the Process Asset Library (PAL).
PAL serves as a catalyst for change and facilitates organizational learning, offering insight into OIT processes and workflows. It serves as a versatile tool to communicate, implement, and align new processes with revised practices, organizational structures, and governance. Serving as a centralized hub, PAL acts as a one-stop-shop providing resources and critical links to approved processes, templates, supporting and guiding policies, and standards. PAL resources are tailored to support individuals across OIT; PAL ensures the delivery of high-quality products and services.
PAL also fosters accountability by clearly outlining roles and responsibilities. By integrating PAL into your daily work, the OIT workforce can confidently adhere to current standards, best practices, and policies. Moreover, PAL aids in identifying innovative opportunities to enhance existing operations. Through continuous process improvement initiatives, innovative practices and tools are incorporated into PAL’s content, resulting in time and cost savings while enhancing quality.
Access to PAL information and content is based on users’ VA System Access Permissions. For users with full VA Access Permission, the PAL SharePoint site is the primary tool for viewing, searching, and downloading all PAL processes and related documentation. Users without full access permission can utilize the PAL internet to access process maps, request documents or process information, seek support, and submit inquiries related to PAL content by contacting CRR (for users without full access permissions, the accessible process maps are limited, with VA permissions, the PAL contains over 200 process maps, frameworks, and lifecycles).
Should you have any questions, require further information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the PAL Team.
