OIT Process Asset Library

To meet federal transparency requirements and ensure external stakeholders can access essential VA business information, the Office of Information and Technology (OIT), through the Compliance, Risk, and Remediation (CRR) Office and the Quality Continuous Improvement Office (QCIO), established an external version of the Process Asset Library (PAL). This resource provides a clear, structured view into selected VA‑approved business processes, helping you understand how OIT delivers services, manages operations, and aligns with government‑wide standards.

PAL provides a structured, consistent way to access process information that is relevant to work with the VA. Through PAL, you can explore high‑level process maps, frameworks, and lifecycle views that outline how OIT plans, builds, secures, deploys, and manages services across the enterprise. This visibility supports your ability to coordinate more effectively with VA divisions, align your activities with VA expectations, and ensure your work meets required compliance and quality standards.

The library consolidates approved processes, supporting policies, templates, and standards into a single location. This approach reduces ambiguity, promotes consistency, and ensures that both internal and external partners operate with the same understanding of how OIT executes its mission.

To further support transparent and responsible operations, PAL defines roles, responsibilities, and required actions across the process lifecycle. This clarity helps you anticipate decision points, prepare appropriate documentation, and engage VA teams at the right moments. PAL continues to expand through ongoing improvements, making it easier to identify operational efficiencies and incorporate industry‑aligned best practices.

Note: Our external users can view selected process maps, request specific documents or process information, by submitting inquiries to the QCIO PAL team for support at OITCRRQCIO@va.gov.
