Dragon Medical One turns spoken words into text for updating patient records. This cloud-based, speech-to-text platform frees up time and empowers physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare clinicians to be more productive and focus on meeting the needs of their patients. It is specifically designed to understand the complexities of medical terminology and review it for accuracy. No voice profile training is required, and an individual cloud-based profile is established automatically the first time a new person uses it. Accent adjustments and microphone calibration are automatic.

How we use Nuance Dragon at VA

Enables VA physicians and clinicians to update patient records by speaking instead of typing. Their comments are transcribed into text and logged in automatically. Medical transcription staff then reviews and edits the transcribed remarks as needed before integrating them into the patient’s legal, medical record.
