NewsCurrents Sr. is an innovative and dynamic way to incorporate current events into the VA’s activities and life enrichment program. The NewsCurrents Sr. program combines large visuals with a carefully prepared discussion guide. This gives you everything you need to conduct a lively and interactive current events session that covers top news and feature stories. Residents focus on the news images while you conduct a guided discussion with the printed guide.
NewsCurrents Sr. is an innovative and dynamic way to incorporate current events into the VA’s activities and life enrichment program. This allows Veterans to stay up to date with current events via the online format rather than having to access the DVD format which is outdated.
For SaaS products that do not contain VA-owned data*, there is now an expedited process that does not require a traditional VA authority to operate (ATO). Criteria include the following:
*According to Circular a130, anything that VA creates, collects, processes, maintains, disseminates, or disposes of by or for the federal government is considered federal information (VA data).
VA providers may not enter any VA information into this product; it must adhere to no VA data standards mentioned above.
