Fleet Commander is a fleet management information system (FMIS) core application and customized with optional modules to track, monitor and report vehicle telematics information for use in vehicle fleet management. Fleet commander provides to abilities to reserve vehicles, analyze and forecast demand and capacity, collect odometer readings, driver credentials, check-in/checkout times, and reporting.
The Roseburg VAMC will use Fleet Commander for its 200 Internal VA users (primarily staff working with Veteran care) and 10 drivers of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) vehicles to automate, monitor, and manage VA vehicle fleets. The Fleet Commander System ensures that VA employees have access to vehicles to provide services to Veterans, including, but not limited to, social worker visits, home health appointments, and volunteer transportation. It provides vehicle reservations for GSA and VA Fleet vehicles. It gives vehicle use data (mileage, trip data, vehicle reports, location data, etc.).
