Fitabase is a comprehensive data management platform designed to support innovative research projects using wearable and internet-connected devices. Fitabase collects all physical activity data tracked by Fitbit devices. This includes steps, activity intensity, energy expenditure, and METs. Device data streams directly to Fitabase. Use our web platform to view device battery level and sync times and stay on top of participant compliance. View data and explore real-time trends.

How we use Fitabase at VA

Veterans with obstructive sleep apnea will be given a Fitbit to measure pulse oximetry. We will create charts with the data to let Veterans know if their treatment is working based on % time pulse oximetry above a certain range.
