BlackBerry Cloud AtHoc Services for Government

BlackBerry Cloud AtHoc Services for Government is a networked crisis communication platform enabling corporations and government agencies to communicate and collaborate securely with their personnel and other organizations through multiple devices during crises. The system allows sending critical information to employees, contractors, and affiliates by email, telephone calls, SMS text messages, mobile application, and Desktop client application. This system is also used to collect staff members’ safety status so leadership clearly understands who is safe and who may need assistance.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) maintains an enterprise notification system through the Emergency Alerting and Accountability System (EAAS) to ensure our employees, contractors and affiliates are informed, safe and secure in case a real-world emergency or event arises. The method is to provide leadership situational awareness of all personnel safety status and provide actionable intelligence to leadership through data analysis and compilation.
