This system is also used to collect staff members’ safety status so leadership clearly understands who is safe and who may need assistance.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) maintains an enterprise notification system through the Emergency Alerting and Accountability System (EAAS) to ensure our employees, contractors and affiliates are informed, safe and secure in case a real-world emergency or event arises. The method is to provide leadership situational awareness of all personnel safety status and provide actionable intelligence to leadership through data analysis and compilation.
