To help patients maintain the habit of staying fit, Blue Goji combines exercise with immersive entertainment. This disease management platform uses virtual reality and game controllers that easily connect directly onto standard cardio equipment. It can also be used to track important medical data.
This product makes exercise enjoyable for the patient so they’re more likely to stick with their regimen. The patient runs on a treadmill while traveling through the scenes of a virtual world—much like a video game. The system also records vital health data during the exercise session, which is then uploaded (with the patient’s consent) using their personal mobile data connection. VA wellness staff can review the medical data regularly to check the patient’s progress.
Blue Goji has been authorized for use with No VA Data. Blue Goji equipment can be set up in a VA clinic, but not connected to any VA systems or network
For SaaS products that do not contain VA-owned data*, there is now an expedited process that does not require a traditional VA authority to operate (ATO). Criteria include the following:
