There are specific situations as outlined in the Section 508 standards where exceptions<\/a> may be granted based on the Section 508 legal standards. Exceptions are granted only with approval from the VA Section 508 Program Manager or their designee, and are only valid for the version or release indicated in the request for one calendar year.  Additional documentation may be requested by the Section 508 Office to determine if an exception is applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
