OR Trax specializes in vendor credentialing/management, vendor case notification, and visitor management. OR Trax allows healthcare providers to send surgical schedules to vendors who supply products such as implants, instrumentation, and support to their operating rooms.
Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Palo Alto uses OR Trax to perform vendor credentialing. OR Trax assists Veterans Affairs (VA) personnel in verifying vendor representatives entering healthcare facilities to ensure a safe environment. The solution is used by VA personnel such as supply chain, police services, and nurse managers. VA staff does not be enter any PHI into the Software as a Service (SaaS). Users will simply access the service to check the validity status of vendors to work with the VA.
For SaaS products that do not contain VA-owned data*, there is now an expedited process that does not require a traditional VA authority to operate (ATO). Criteria include the following:
*According to Circular a130, anything that VA creates, collects, processes, maintains, disseminates, or disposes of by or for the federal government is considered federal information (VA data).
VA providers may not enter any VA information into this product; it must adhere to no VA data standards mentioned above.
